Why?

Do you ever have those mornings that when you wake up you know that it will be a weird and crazy day? Work was very weird and crazy today. When one thing happened then everything fell apart. I just hope that it works itself out soon. I am not worrying about it but I know something will come about. I just want it resolved sooner rather than later.

I watched Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets movie today. I really enjoyed that movie. Louie and I went to eat at Lulu's, which is Jimmy Buffet's sister resturant down in Gulf Shores. We got our dinner half off since Kelly, my sister-in-law, was our waitress. It was good to see her and catch up. Louie and I went to see the movie The Break-Up with Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston at the new Rave Motion Picture Theatre in Orange Beach. I really enjoyed the movie.

I am down here at the beach and I am enjoying myself. I watched the movie Two For The Money with Al Pacino and Matthew Moncoughay (however you spell his last name). It was a good movie. I am currently reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I emailed a friend from work and he emailed me back and told me he got another job. I am so sad because he is one of my few friends from work and I am going to miss him at work.

political process

Well, the primary elections are over. My candidate for Probate Judge, Rex Smith lost. I cried. I never would have thought I could have gotten so attached. It might also be that Louie was his campaign manager. I cried for both of them. I know that it will all be alright and that there is a greater purpose that God has in plan for them and myself. It just hurt that my friend lost. The other two candidates are in a runoff. I guess I will vote for George Salmon because I sure don't want Joe Dobbins. I voted for Bob Riley and others that won so it wasn't a total loss I don't guess. I am now down at the beach for a few days. I can't wait til I get back to go to work and get trained in the office, but I am glad that I am at the beach relaxing.

Tomorrow is election day. Tomorrow when I get off work I am going to an election party. After the election party, Louie and I are going to Orange Beach to relax for a week since Louie has worked really hard to get his guy elected. I want the same guy to get elected. When I get back from Orange Beach I will be getting trained in the office at work and becoming stock leader. I can not wait to get trained.

At work today I was promoted to the office. I am so happy. I can not wait to start learning and training in the office. Well, tonight after work Louie, my mom, and I went to eat at Top O' The River with the First Lady of the State of Alabama, Patsy Riley.

1st Catholic Mass

Tonight Louie and I went to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic School graduation. We went to see Michelle, Tony's daughter, graduate. Before the ceremony they had Mass. It was interesting, I kind of enjoyed the experience. Afterwards a lot of us went to eat at Ruby Tuesday's. It was nice to celebrate in Michelle's graduation.

Tonight the Calhoun County Republican Executive Committee held an School Board forum. It was so boring, but I figured out who I was voting for. After the forum, Rex, Dallas, Phil, Nan, Louie and I went to eat at Ruby Tuesday's. I enjoyed hanging out with my new friends. I actually felt professional for the first time in my life. I hope that Rex wins and that I can get a job with him in the Probate office. I will actually get insurance, benefits, and getting good money. I can not believe that in two weeks I will actually become a college graduate for the second time.

The "complication" at work was resolved today. I am not going to be working in Produce anymore. I enjoyed Produce, but Tony made me uncomfortable. I just hope that Tony Ivey didn't say anything to Tony and Candace and make them not like me. I apoligized to Tony Moreland and Candace. I am still sure that they are still my friends. I am going back up to the front and work as a cashier and stocker. I will enjoy that much better. Produce wasn't hard but if Joyce was back there I don't think this would have happened. I just hope that this doesn't hurt my chances at getting put up in the office when the chance comes along.

Tonight when I got off of work, I met Rex, Dallas, Louie, and parts of Rex and Dallas' family at the Classic on Noble to eat dinner. It was great. I enjoyed the food and the company. I have been in Produce at work for the last couple of weeks. Tony, the Produce manager, has made me uncomfortable lately. He is like my dad in trying to be to nice to win me over. If he wasn't like this and almost like a pervert/flirtly then it might be okay. I don't mind working in Produce, but I don't want to feel uncomfortable. I don't know how to explain it than to say he makes me uncomfortable and saying dear and calling every Sunday to check on me. I told Candace today and she told Tony, the manager of the whole store, and we are resolving this issue on Monday. I just don't want Tony, the Produce manager, to put the issue on me and say something about me. I know that he will be shocked when he finds this out. I just hope this gets resolved peacefully.

This morning I went and took a civil service test for the City of Anniston's Parks and Recreation Department. I do not feel like I did great but I don't think I did bad. I wish that I could get the job and Louie and I could earn money to move out. If I don't get it then I will work at Food Outlet and save up money while waiting to see if Rex wins the Probate Judge's office and can hopefully get a job with him and therefore we can move out. School started today. I am taking my last class, which is Survey of English Lit. I will be graduating come August 4. I am so ready to leave Food Outlet, but if I don't get this job with the City of Anniston or with Rex I might stay there. I don't think that there is a point to getting or trying to find a good job if these two don't work out. Louie and I want to go back to Florida when he graduates, so if these two don't work out then there is no point in trying to find a good job when he would be graduating in a year and a half.

Grades were posted yesterday, but I was not able to see my until today. The website was down yesterday when I got home so I could not see them until today. I passed all of my classes. I only have to take one more class in May, from May 2-May 30 to be exact, and I will be through. I will graduate on August 4 at 7:30 p.m. I know I will pass that May term class which is Survey of English Literature I. On Tuesday, May 2 at 9 a.m. I am going to take a test for an office assistant/clerk in the City of Anniston's Park and Recreation Department. I do hope I obtain this job. It would be nice. It would allow me benefits and better pay and finally a Monday through Friday job from 8 to 5 with weekends off. I would not have to work at Food Outlet anymore. I would miss the people who work there with me but not the job because I can do almost everything in that store. Louie left Sonic and is working for Rex Smith, who is running for Calhoun County Probate Judge. If Rex gets elected I might actually get a job with him which allows for the same great things as the City of Anniston's Parks and Recreation Department job has. If I get the City of Anniston's Parks and Recreation Department and Louie is working for Rex then starting in June we are going to save money in order to move out. We are going to try to move out by October. If I am still at Food Outlet in June then we are going to try to save up some money and move out by March of 2007. We are going to try to move into an apartment in Jacksonville. I am not trying to get my hopes up about the City of Anniston's Parks and Recreation Department job because I don't want to be disappointed if I don't get it. I know that God has a plan for Louie and I's lives so God might allow me to obtain this job, but if not he has something better in mind and he will allow it to come along. I need to remember that but sometimes it is so hard when things are not going so well for me at work right now, it is Murphy's law. I don't want to get my hopes up either because I am working produce at Food Outlet now and work 8 to 3 on Sundays, which means I miss church. I really miss going to church but by working produce I can obtain more hours during May term. I feel like God won't want to give me this job with the City of Anniston's Parks and Recreation Department because I am not going to church regularly anymore.

Well, I know I haven't posted in awhile. I have been busy with school and work. I may be able to learn and work in produce while I also get to work as a cashier and a stocker. I got a postcard from the Anniston Civil Service Board the other day to come take a test for a clerk/typist for the Parks and Recreation Department. I am going to go and take the test. I put in my application two years ago and I just now got a card to come take a test on May 2nd at 9 am. I might take it if it seems interesting, it is offered to me with benefits and salary, but hopefully it will be a high salary but I should not be picky. If I do not get this then at least I will still be at Food Outlet for awhile. I might be offered a job with Rex Smith in the Probate Judge's office, if he wins and needs someone and it is if he offers me a job. I am glad that the semester is ending. I am only worried about one class. I hope I can pass Dr. Savage's class. I need to make, I think, a 74 to pass with a C and I really want to make the C since I will be graduating in the Summer. The other classes I know I will pass. I am so worried, Louie and I need to pay a loan payment, a cell phone bill, and our car tags are up for renewal so I am worried that we might have enough to pay those bills but not enough to help on the beginning month's bills. I know Louie says do not worry but we might only have seven dollars left after he gets paid on Monday and after we pay our loan payment and then my check on Friday will pay our cell phone bill but then I don't think he will get enough the following Monday to pay for our car tags. Jamie is leaving and going to Books a Million. I will miss her. I will have to go visit her. Derrick Lipscomb might be leaving. I will miss him too because I am just now getting to know him.

Movie entitled ONE

Last night my mother, Louie and I went to see a movie entitled ONE. It was at McClellan in there Buckner Center. It was about a guy and his friends asking spiritual icons twenty questions and their answers to those questions. I am going to answer some of these questions.<br /><br />1. Why is there poverty and suffering in the world? People do not rely on God and have faith in God enough to take care of there needs.<br /><br />2. What is the relationship between science and religion? Science and religion are entertwined. I don't think you can have one without the other, but I don't believe that there was a big bang.<br /><br />3. Why are so many people depressed? I think that is more of a mind set than anything else. If people dwell on specific things then they can become depressed. If they are happy people then they will not be depressed. <br /><br />4. What are we all afraid of? I think that we are all afraid of showing who we really are. We are afraid to show our real and true self to other people.<br /><br />5. How would God want us to respond to aggression and terrorism? God would want us to show love and compassion to those who have done those things to us. God would not want us to judge or hate those people who do these things.<br /><br />6. How does one obtain true peace? I think that one obtains true peace through being happy and content at what they are doing, no matter what they are doing in their life, but that also depends on their surroundings.<br /><br />7. What does it mean to live in the present moment? Be able to be happy where you are. Don't look back at your life and don't look to far in the future. What happens in the present moment does not matter in the past or the future. Live in the present moment what you want to do for you may not ever get another opportunity.<br /><br />8. When is war justifiable? When the soil of nation as been acted upon.<br /><br />9. What is our greatest distraction? Our greatest distraction is that thing or things that have our attention when our attention should be focused on that original thing that was our present focus.<br /><br />10. Is current religion serving its purpose? I think it depends on what "religion" a person is. The overall religion I think is serving its purpose.<br /><br />11. What happens to you after you die? I think that your soul goes to heaven if you had been saved and therefore lived a good life. I think that a person and their soul go to hell if that person had not been saved.<br /><br />12. What is the meaning of life? To live a life of happiness, to be around those people that will lift you up (friends, co-workers, and people at church), and live as Christ did.<br /><br />13. What is the greatest quality humans possess? The quality of love.<br /><br />14. What is it that prevents people from living to their full potential? Worry and the daily business of life's daily routines.<br /><br />15. What is your one wish for the whole world? For everyone to believe in God and for every country to allow the other countries to run their government as they see fit.<br /><br />16. What is wisdom, and how do we gain it? Wisdom is that which people obtain from reading books, going to church, reading the Bible, and that which we obtain from our learning in our everyday life. Wisdom is our knowledge.<br /><br />17. Are we all One? I think that we are all One. We all believe in something or want to believe in something, but we are all unique.<br /><br />18. Describe Heaven and how do we get there. Heaven is a beautiful place where we can be with God and his angels, along with those that have gone before us. We get there through being saved and our works or deeds for others through love.<br /><br />19. Describe God. God is love and shown through all of us who show our love to others.

Spring Break travel

Last night, Louie and I watched Walk the Line. Louie actually liked that movie. Today Louie and I travelled home. I went to get my pay check today from last week. I got paid when Louie and I went out of town. I got my check and looked at the schedule. I was supposed to work today. I did not know this until I got my check. I hope I do not get into trouble because I am never a no show no call type of person at any job I have ever had. I have always shown up to work when I am scheduled. I asked off from March 17-22. I thought that when I said March 22 that I would not back to work until tomorrow.

Spring Break

Well, Sunday afternoon Louie and I watched Panic Room. It was a good movie, but I don't think that it is DVD worthy material. I started watching Lord of the Rings: the Fellowship of the Ring. It was really good. I will have to finish the movie one day. Monday, Louie and I went to Pensacola. We first went to Barnes and Noble, my favority bookstore in the whole world. Louie got three books. I got three books as well: I got the last Harry Potter book that has been published, a book on the Salem Witch Trials because I am fascinated with the subject, and Joan, Jackie, and Ethel the women who married the Kennedy men. I got the last one because I am fascinated with everything Kennedy. We then went to Lifeway and I got a book entitled How to be a Mary in a Martha World. I need that desperately because I am busy and need to focus on God. Louie and I then went to Cordova Mall. Our first stop was Best Buy. Louie got an IPod, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and Waiting. I like the movie Waiting, but I have never been a fan of anything Monty Python. I got the first season of Sex and the City, second season of the Golden Girls, To Kill A Mockingbird, and the first Harry Potter movie. We then went to Bed, Bath, and Beyond. I really like that store along with World Market. We then walked around the rest of the mall. Afterwards we went to see the University of West Florida, my first alma mater and went to Lowe's. When we got through we went to eat at the Olive Garden. What a great place. I love there salad and breadsticks and there Lemon Creme Cake. We then went to see Failure to Launch. I really liked that movie. Today Louie and I went to get our vehicle washed and went to Wal-Mart and got the movie Capote.

Spring Break so far

Yesterday, Louie went to the University of South Alabama to take a test in order to get admitted to the Teacher Education Program at Jacksonville State. It said it went fine. I think that he passed it. Louie's mom and I went around looking at the mall. I got a pair of earrings at JCPenney and some things at Bath and Body Works. Other than that Louie's mom got more stuff than me. I am doing my shopping in Pensacola tomorrow. When we came home we just relaxed and stayed at the house last night. His mom cooked Chicken Stir-fry. I like her stir-fry. This morning we went to church. I am glad I am a Methodist. I do ask God for his guidance and to lead me where he wants me to go in my life. Whereever he leads me I will go. I felt like I was not saved when I left the church service today because during the invitation the pastor said that you could ask God where to put you, lead you, etc. but if you feel that deep feeling deep down and you aren't saved then you need to do it. Well, I don't like going to Baptist churches because I always question my salvation when I leave. Louie's mom said that we could change the tv channel this afternoon when we got back from taking pictures. Well, we don't have the National Geographic Channel in Anniston so I put it on that channel to watch Science of the Bible. It was on Jesus' arrest. Louie's mom did not want to watch it because of one of the comments the commentator said. It really hurt my feelings because I wanted to watch it. Louie is interested in that kind of show so I would have thought he would have said could we watch it. I know that it is her house and I need to respect her wishes but it was interesting to watch. I sat out in the living room for awhile and tried not to cry. After a few minutes I went to the bathroom and got teary eyed. I did not leave for a few minutes because I did not want her to think I was mad at her.

Spring Break Travel

Today, Louie and I got up at 6 am to head down to Orange Beach for Spring Break. We got down here by 1 pm. It was great because we got almost a full day down here for leisure. We all went to Lulu's to eat and to see Kelly, Louie's sister. It was really busy and we did not say but we did say hello. All I wanted to do was to see what it looked like around the resturant. I saw Kelly and said hello. I even saw Chris, her husband and talked to him a little bit. I do not want to see them the rest of my vacation. Mama, Louie's mother, invited to come over and see us, but I hope they don't. I want to spend the rest of my vacation with Chris and Mama without them in the picture again. Kelly and Chris can see them anytime, but I can't. I am here for five days and they are here year round. I know I sound selfish and I shouldn't be. I should be glad to see family and I guess that I shouldn't feel inconvinenced with them coming to see us. I should get out of my comfort zone.

Louie's grandparents anniversary party

Louie's grandparents are celebrating their 60th Wedding Anniversary on March 9th. Louie's mom threw them a party yesterday afternoon at Crosspoint Community Church in Gadsden from 2-5 pm. Our cousin, Halle, is so adorable. She told a joke that was priceless, "How come the hummingbirds aren't humming. Because they forgot the words." The only winners last night at the oscars that I am happy that won are Reese Witherspoon for Walk the Line, for portraying June Carter Cash, and Phillip Seymour Hoffman for Capote, for portraying Truman Capote. Tony has finally retired from being Manager at Food Outlet. Candace is becoming the Manager. Tony is only working like fifteen hours a week to make sure that Candace is alright to handle the possession and if she has any questions. I am glad that she has become manager even though it is more pressure. I am glad that Tony is retired because so much goes on at the store and he needs to focus on the County Republican party.

Women's Gala

I got to leave work an hour early today because Candace and I went to The Barn in Jacksonville to decorate for the Women's Gala. Before we arrived to the Barn we stopped by and got Michelle to help us decorate. The Women's Gala was very good tonight. We got to hear Beth Chapman, State Auditor and candidate for Secretary of State, Judge Laura Phillips, Judge Kelly Wise, and Justice Lyn Stuart. Beth Chapman has written two books and we bought both books. We bought one for ourselves and the other one about Vestell Goodman for Louie's mother. Judge Kelly Wise was telling some personal things about herself. Her daughter said that "Daddy's are to be lawyers and mommy's are to be judges." Judge Laura Phillips also told about some things personal in her life. She has an adopted daughter from China. Her daughter one day asked where babies come from. The answer: "Babies come from China."

Higher Ed Day

Well, the day was overall a good day. Louie, Philip, and I left at 7:30 a.m. for Montgomery to go to the Higher Ed Rally. We stopped at Jack's in Sylagauga for breakfast. After we got back on the road Louie and Philip talked about religion. How boring. The rally was good. We got a photo opportunity with Gov. Riley, met with George Wallace, Jr., met with Kay Ivey, watched the Senate and the House in session (of course in Alabama), met with Judge Pittman, a civil appellate judge. The Alabama Judicial building is a very nice building. We actually got to see the Supreme Court room. On the ride back Daniel and Philip rode back with us. On the way down to Montgomery and on the way back, Philip had his knees in my back and had the window rolled down. It makes me mad because it is my vehicle and he should ask about what he is doing in my car. When we got back to Anniston we all had dinner at Ruby Tuesday.

College Republican Federation of Alabama Convention

This weekend was the College Republican Federation of Alabama conventional meeting. It was a really fun time and weekend. Louie and I got down there Friday and toured the Little White House of the Confederacy, the Capital, and the Alabama Archives. Friday night, Louie and I went to a pizza place near Huntingdon and hung out with other College Republicans before the meeting. We then went to the Wilson Center on the Huntingdon College Campus for our business meeting. I met some really great College Republicans and made some new friends. We heard Troy King, the Attorney General of Alabama speak. We also heard from Judge Sam Welch who is running for the Court of Criminal Appeals. He is from Monroeville, AL. I think that is great because of the literary influence there of Harper Lee and Truman Capote. Louie got elected at the Central Caucus Vice-Chairman. I am glad I met some new friends. After the meeting, Louie and I went to the Montgomery Brewery and Pub and had dinner. It was a great weekend.
